1. Pale Lips: Blood and Qi Deficiency
Associated Symptoms: Frequent fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, and limb weakness. The Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon states: "The spleen governs the flesh, and its prosperity is reflected in the lips." The spleen is the source of blood and Qi transformation. If the spleen's function is compromised, it may lead to insufficient blood and Qi generation, resulting in pale lips.
Solution: Consume blood-nourishing foods such as yams, sweet potatoes, potatoes, jujubes, longans, mulberries, white kidney beans, mushrooms, silver ear mushrooms, and lotus seeds. Include meats that tonify Qi and blood, such as black chicken, milk, pork, beef, and lamb.
