- Most common, occurs most often in those over 65 years old, the cause is currently unclear. Common symptoms include decreased memory, thinking, and operational abilities.
2. Lewy Body Dementia:
- Second most common, the disease is not yet clearly understood. Symptoms often include cognitive impairment, visual hallucinations, and personality changes.
3. Frontotemporal Dementia:
- Common among middle-aged and older adults, especially peaking between 45-65 years old. Symptoms may include two contrasting presentations: some patients are overly active, excited, not conforming to social norms; while others may experience low moods, emotional dullness, often mistaken for mental illness.
