Don't Want Bladder Inflammation:
Don't Delay Urination
Frequent delay in urination makes one more susceptible to bladder inflammation. Delaying urination keeps the bladder in a prolonged full state, causing the bladder wall's elasticity to decrease, making bladder pressure receptors dull. The reduced contraction force of the bladder leads to increased residual urine after urination, resulting in urine retention. Reduced frequency of urination causes metabolic waste to accumulate, increasing the risk of bladder inflammation and even bladder cancer. Moreover, high pressure in the bladder after delaying urination makes it easier for bacteria to travel upward through the ureters, causing pyelonephritis.
