The National Nuclear Safety Administration has developed the "Basic Standards for Radiation Protection and Safety of Radiation Sources" based on relevant recommendations of the International Commission on Radiological Protection. These standards mainly focus on ionizing radiation protection in the field of nuclear science and technology, and their main applicable targets are occupational personnel who may be exposed to ionizing radiation at work. For this group of occupational personnel, the standards stipulate that their average annual effective dose over five years should not exceed 20 mSv, and the dose in any single year should not exceed 50 mSv.
